Closing Chapter 2021

As the weather outside is getting colder since it is the last month of the year, I’ve been adapting to its temperatures in the evening surprisingly well. I have my hand warmers and I do use my gardener gloves (the preferred gloves you see a lot of people use in the park). I even have on my face cover with my beanie on. So I was very glad. No snow yet and I pray it can stay that way too. I started to do nordic curls since at the gym they have the pipes that I can place my feet under to hold me in place. I need to learn to control my movement better but I know it will take time for my central nervous system to get used to the movement and build strength.

My grip strength on dead hangs is almost at one minute so I am happy for that. Soon I will need to add a towel into the dead hangs so that I can get the palm and thumb strength better. I know it will be a good while, just will keep at it. I’ve started to do straight bar dips and I did not realize that it can help out for when I would do a muscle up and then dips at the top at a better rate than waiting to do muscle-ups. So it really hit my triceps very hard and it was burning. I got back training my neck but I want to work towards neck bridge since it’s natural but gotta take my time though. It’s my neck and there are not many muscles around there. If combat athletes, rugby players, and football players can do it then I can.

As a bonus, I’ve been vegetarian for about four years and three months, and on December 6th, I’ve decided to incorporate meat into my daily eating. I thought that for four years, I’ve had really great control over what I can eat, the discipline level is way better now than back then, plus becoming vegetarian got me to start cooking for myself which is a bonus of course. Since I will be having meat again, I will only have chicken (my favorite rotisserie chicken) daily with my red beans for complete protein. Once in a blue moon, I would have lasagna or plant-based lasagna in which I had once and it was very good that it did taste like regular lasagna to be honest. I just prefer chicken since that was the only kind of meat I care for. Due to that my weight on November 29th, 2021 was 205.4lbs and now it is 197lbs on December 17th,2021. So just being more active and finding ways to get the calories moving is always a plus. I cannot wait to see what is in store for me next year and learning is always the way to the goal line.
